About CCMP

Coalition of Concerned Medical Professionals (CCMP) is an entirely volunteer private membership association of health professionals, educators, students, business leaders and others joined together to fight for comprehensive healthcare.

For 50 years we have remained independent and free of government funding, in order to challenge government healthcare policies that deny people medically directed care and a healthy life. CCMP began as an effort to advance the just cause of Long Island’s farm workers, who labored at low pay with no health benefits, 50 years ago, and we grew as the fight for comprehensive healthcare for all grew in metropolitan New York and throughout the nation.

CCMP’s programs stand as an example of how much could be accomplished if we had a health system that was not profit-driven, made services available to those most in need, and did not deny access to health care due to one’s income, job standing, gender, ethnicity or age. CCMP is dedicated to the fight for health care as a right, not a costly privilege.

Join CCMP to build a health care system based on health, not profits. Our membership of caring health professionals have organized free-of-charge medical benefits that include preventive medical care, non-emergency dental care, medical education and information sessions on topics of concern to the underserved such as diabetes and hypertension. CCMP benefits include advocacy for members of organizations of low-income working people and other groups and individuals who otherwise would be deprived by insurance companies or responsible government agencies of their very health and well-being.

Join us! Volunteers are urgently needed.
